Find And Fix Leaks In Mini Split System
A leak was detected in the mini split system, attributed to a poorly made flare at the opening. We recreated the flare, evacuated the system, and recharged it. After testing, both heads produced 100-degree air in heat mode, confirming the system is functioning properly.
Ductless System Not Working
The Carrier ductless system in the main house was not providing adequate cooling and had a leaking head in the living room. We discovered frost on a line set and an oil leak at the outside flare connections. After replacing a leaking valve core, we added refrigerant, resulting in a cooling temperature drop to below 55 degrees, and monitored the fan, which sounded normal during our visit.
